About the Journal

The BiotechIntellect journal is a peer-reviewed multi-disciplinary biotechnological publication published with collaboration of Iranian Probiotic and Functional Foods Society. The frequency of publication is "Continuous" (as soon as a page proof was confirmed it will be published online).

The journal's aim is to advance and disseminate knowledge in all the related areas of Biotechnology, new methods in screening, culture, production, and extraction as well as modelling, prediction, machine learning, genetic and metabolic engineering of microorganisms.

The Journal of "BiotechIntellect" states that it follow the ICMJE Recommendations.

Scopes:

  • Sustainable bioprocesses to minimize waste and energy consumption (in biorefinery processes and the use of renewable resources)
  • Synthetic Biology Growth (gene editing technologies, pathway engineering, and the creation of synthetic organisms designed to perform specific bioprocesses.
  • Omics Technologies (integration of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics to elucidate complex biological processes and improve bioprocess optimization
  • Personalized Medicine application of Biotechnology (modification of microbiota, etc.)
  • AI and Machine Learning Applications (use of AI to analyze large datasets for biotechnological applications & AI-enhanced bio-process optimization.
  • Microbial Biotechnology microbial production of pharmaceuticals, bio-fuels, and bio-plastics (Understanding microbial metabolism and interaction).
  • Bio-manufacturing and Automation Advances in automation and bio-manufacturing processes are expected to be a significant trend. Research will likely focus on process automation, robotics in bio-processing, and digitalization for improved efficiency.
  • Regenerative Medicine and Cell Therapy (stem cell research, tissue engineering, and innovative bio-processes for cell therapy applications)
  • Ethical and Regulatory Framework Advances Collaboration and Interdisciplinary Research (merging biotechnology with fields like data science, environmental science, and engineering)
